Virtual March this year for Patient Safety
Virtual Candle Lighting this year due to Covid.
Patient Safety Day is held on July 25th annually. Patients, families, healthcare providers, and consumer groups join together in a moment of silence and candlelight vigil at noon and 6:00 PM; at home, work or wherever you are - in memory of patients and families who have lost their life or quality of life due to medical errors - and in tribute to those who work to improve the quality and safety of healthcare for future patients. Please join us.
The event now draws participants from more than 40 states and numerous countries.
Please stay tuned for the annual Patient Safety Day 2021.
In Remembrance of one of the Co-Founders of Patient Safety Day:
Every year from 2008 through 2020, The Medicine Wheel Garden in Maine founder planted flowers in the Memorial Garden on World Patient Safety Day July 25th to honor children, elders, siblings & friends and spouses affected by medical error harm. There was never a charge or fee for this service.
